Different caster manufacturers have completely different styles of work. Some focus on product quality, while others focus on cost; the same methods are different for manufacturers with different cost control. For example, some manufacturers use low-quality products to control costs. However, experienced manufacturers have strict control over raw materials, greatly reducing the waste of raw materials in production to control costs, so the results achieved are different. The caster bearing, as a necessary part of the caster, cannot be replaced by inferior products because of the cost. This part can be sloppy.
Although the installation of caster bearings seems ordinary and simple, there are certain rules and methods to follow. Do not operate and install blindly; operate according to the product and workshop operation process. The quality of casters involves the skill and proficiency of production workers and production equipment. And peripheral parts, so when installing the bearing, it is necessary to strictly install the workshop operation process norms for operation.
Caster bearing installation steps:
1. Clean bearings and bearings and components.
2. Check the size and finishing of the parts.
3. Installation.
4. Check after the bearing is installed.
5. Supply lubricant.
Caster bearing installation method:
1. Generally, the caster bearings are not packaged until they are installed. General grease lubrication, do not clean, directly add grease. Lubricating oil generally does not need to be cleaned; however, instruments or high-speed bearings should be cleaned with clean oil to remove the anti-rust agent applied to the bearings. Bearings with rust inhibitor removed are easy to rust, so they should not be left unattended. If the bearing has been sealed with grease, use it directly without cleaning.
2. The installation method of the bearing varies with the bearing structure, fit, and premise; generally, because most of the shaft rotates, the inner ring needs an interference fit. Cylindrical bore bearings are usually pressed in with a press or hot-fitting method. Where the taper hole is, it can be loaded directly on the taper shaft or loaded with a sleeve.
3. When loaded into the shell, there is generally a lot of clearance fit, and the outer ring has interference. It is usually pressed in with a press, or there is also a shrink fit method that is loaded after cooling. Dry ice is used as the coolant, and the moisture in the air will condense on the surface of the bearing where the shrink fit is loaded. Therefore, a proper anti-rust method is required.
Caster bearings are very important to casters. There are many kinds of bearings used in casters. Without them, the caster will lose its value. Therefore, we suggest that the ideal bearing should be suitable for their respective applications, and to ensure that the necessary safety margin is left. In addition to the wheel surface, wheel diameter and rotation bearing, the wheel bearing determines the mobility of this caster, and even the quality of this caster.
